I am a 5th grade teacher and I want to let you know I love your Stories. I do a thematic unit on Where the Redfern Grows and Old Yeller and I would love to use some of your stories. Please let me know how you would want to be cited/given credit. My students would love your stlye and the enrichment that would be provided is awesome.
Keep up the good work - the love for your craft is evident in your product

Dear Stephen,
It is comforting to know that there is a cord that will not fray and that someone will be sittin' on the porch looking for me.
That, I suspect, is your gift as a storyteller

Dear Stephen
You capture such emotion in your stories. I could see the Viet Nam soldiers bravely accepting their salute. I could see the folds on the underarms of Annie Pankey waving back and forth, her face all lit up, as she showed off her 48 star flag.

What a wonderful gift you have. You paint pictures with words, and the pictures come to life. I have just now started reading your stories and loved them all. I was hooked by the time I had read a few lines of "early mornin' in Beloved." "Uncle Billy & that old dog" is beautiful; it brought tears to my eyes. I'll keep reading your stories, and I really look forward to it. Thanks for sharing your words. You have another new fan.
